Sometimes called diamond backs, the sturgeon can be one of the greatest fish to chase. These bruisers can be small shakers that fill your day with action. Or, they can be a bit older and in that keeper fish class we love to get after. And finally, there's the big boys.
This is nearly a year round fishery. It rarely disapoints and is usually filled with action.
Starting in the Spring, as water temperature rises, the keepers and oversize fish get more active. Usually, this corresponds to following up bait fish. And whether it's smelt, shad or sand shrimps, these guys like to eat!
